A few signs of spring...

Our daffodils are in bloom again, and at full force I might add! I so enjoy seeing these late winter flowers shooting up out of the ground and watching each day as the blossoms get closer and closer to opening. The bright cheery color the daffodils bring to us near the end of each winter, gives us the assurance that Mother Nature will once again bring warmth to our world with the coming of spring.

The pictures below were taken just last week, or maybe the week before. I ran a midnight blue action on both of them in Photoshop. It really helped to bring out the colors in the photo. I took both of these in macro mode on my Canon Powershot G2.

Here are two young children, enjoying the last few days of warmth left at a South Carolina beach.

Today was a ho-hum day, as my little one was under the weather and I hadn't slept well last night. I spent a LOT of time in front of the computer 'photoshopping' some old pics. This was one of my favorites. It shows what kids do at the beach... dig in the sand! I changed it to a desaturated sepia color to bring out the simplicity of what the kids are doing, because it is really the simple things in life that bring the most entertainment to our youth.
